Arthur—Chaiwala, Triptych

This limited edition triptych is part of the My Favorite Space series, where I explore the deep connection between individuals and the spaces that shape them. Photographed at a chaiwala’s stall in Ahmedabad, these three images capture the pulse of a city in motion, blending the modest simplicity of daily life with the profound sense of community and history that surrounds it. The chaiwala’s stall, an unassuming yet vital hub, becomes a fixed point of stillness amidst the bustle of the city—a place where people gather, stories unfold, and life revolves.

Featured in the Domestic Dialogues exhibition, this piece invites you to consider how spaces of exchange and routine can hold great personal and cultural significance. Captured with a Hasselblad 500C/M analogue camera, the images have a richness and depth that only film can provide, reflecting the timeless quality of the chaiwala's stall and the people who gather there.
