The Grant Family

Initially planned in 2019 and delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this photo series turned into a 15-day, 3200-kilometer journey. It aimed to capture the essence of my American family through the lens of my Hasselblad, comprising 30 images, each featuring a family member in their home.

The Grant family, who embraced my West Berliner mom at 18, has consistently provided unwavering love and acceptance throughout my life. This project reflects my exploration of stigmas, love, and family.

The series seeks to balance intimacy and distance, allowing viewers to form their interpretations while highlighting my deep connection with each family member across generations.
