Fiona Cuypers-Stanienda (b. 1992) is an architectural photographer specializing in analog, medium-format photography. Her education at ETH Zurich, University of the Arts Berlin, and the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, where she earned her AA Diploma and Master of Architecture, deeply informs her approach. Fiona captures the intricate interactions between people and their architectural environments with a focus on authenticity and human-centric perspectives. This unique approach not only challenges conventional views of architecture but also highlights its profound impact on human experiences, anchoring her distinct place in the field.

Fiona's work has been showcased in well-known publications and exhibitions, including the Architect's Journal, Wallpaper*, REAL, AA Bookshop, and the British School at Rome. In 2020, her thesis was highlighted in the Architect's Journal. She has also worked alongside famous architects and firms, such as Johnston Marklee (Los Angeles, US), Valter Scelsi (Genoa, IT), Studio JK (Hamburg, DE), and with Francis Kéré (Berlin, DE) a winner of the Pritzker Prize.

Since 2022, Fiona runs an architectural-research agency called ‘RRA’ Radical Research & Re-storying Agency, which is informed by the question: “how can the pre-colonial past inform a decolonial future?”. The RRA represents Fiona's commitment to exploring and redefining stories through architecture.

She is available for worldwide commissions, projects, portraits and other inquiries.
